Chose the correct category – It is showing up on the right under Categories – Just across the top the link (menu item) is not “live” to her able to be clicked on. All other menu items are working.

I’ve fixed the issue for you.
You simply needed to add the post to your menu as a Link item:

I am having difficulty with this same category again = Parents of Teens and Young Adults – I created a new post -https://askdrdore.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=395&action=edit&message=1
Chose that category and it is not appearing.https://askdrdore.wordpress.com/2015/02/27/our-24-year-old-son-is-currently-living-back-at-home-after-graduating-from-college/
All of the other categories are working just fine. I write the most, pick the category and it is there.

Howdy!
Your Menu Item titled “Parents of Teens and Young Adults” is currently setup as a custom link to this post:
It sounds like you want it setup as a Category Page for the category “Parent of Teens and Young Adults” To do that, visit your menu settings here:
https://askdrdore.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
Select “Category Pages” then check the box next to “Parent of Teens and Young Adults” and click “Add to Menu” (Example.)
Drag-and-drop that Category Page where you’d like it in your menu.
Next, remove the current Custom Link you don’t need. (Remove is an option in the Menu Item Settings)
Save the menu.
Let me know if you hit any snags. :)
