Menu? Categories?? Help

So on my blog under the tagline are currently page titles. However, I think I want them set up as categories. As of right now, every post on my blog has been created by clicking a page, hitting the edit button, and writing a new ‘”post”. However, when searching through my blog, none of these are seperate posts per say with individual links. I cannot figure out how to turn these pages into categories so I can make a seperate post for each entry and assign it to show up under a specific category.
Thoughts? I have been trying to figure this out for 6 weeks now.

You’re on the right track here.
All of your posts have to be published on to a designated page. That page, does not have to be linked in your menu and it can stay behind the scenes. Each post can be assigned a category in the post settings. When you link the category in to your site menu everything with that assigned category gets displayed in one list.
The current pages need converted in to posts. Let me know if you need more help with this project.
