Menu displayed on mobile

When I view my Baskerville themed website on my mobile, the menu that I created and which displays width wise on desktop appears ‘uncollapsed’ and fully displayed in vertical format on mobile. This takes up the whole mobile screen and requires the user to view all sub-menus without asking to see these. How can I display the menu with the main top-level categories and the sub-categories collapsed until the user prompts to see them, just as in the desktop menu? Hope this makes sense. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I’m a beginner WP user.

    many thanks
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

I’ve checked contentsreimagined.wordpress.com and the mobile menu layout matches the Baskerville 2 theme demo site:

    https://baskerville2demo.wordpress.com/

The menu behaviour is coded into the theme so I’m afraid there isn’t a way to hide sub pages on mobile devices, by default. It may be possible to make this change with custom CSS but this feature is only available through our Premium and Business plans.
