Menu drop down bar

In the menu, how do you create a “source” button that isn’t a page itself but a drop down bar?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey ameliadubendorf,

You can easily accomplish this by going to Customize>>Menus and then choose the menu you want to edit.

To make any item as the sub-item, you have to nest it under the parent item. It can be done by dragging and dropping the items slightly right under the main item.

Just to make sure, the item indents beneath the main menu item.

    This may help. https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

  • Hi
I can add a bit to ravichahar’s answer.
My reading of your question is that you want a top level link item that isn’t linked to a page but rather just opens the drop down menu.
You can achieve this by editing the menu as described and adding a Custom Link from the options on the left. You should see Pages, Posts and Custom Links.
Open the custom links section and in the URL field simply put #
In the Link text box field put the text you want to show in the navigation menu so something like “source”.
Click the Add to Menu button and it will be added to the bottom of the menu on the right.
No you can drag it up to where you want it to sit in the order of the menu items.
As mentioned by ravichahar to make it a top level menu item it needs to be not indented at all so as far to the left as it will go.
Then you can drag the items you want for the sub menu underneath the Source link but make sure they are indented on tab to the right so that they are a drop down menu under the Source link.
Save the menu and check it out.
    I hope that helps.
