Menu edit / settings option is gone after activating site Edit

    Currently I am testing the new beta site edit feature to it’s full potential and it’s going very well.

    During the process I noticed that the menu edit page is gone or at least now I can’t access the admin setting page from where we can modify menus.

    Menu option gone from Appearance tab.
    Menu option is not there in the customize page.

    Only I can add/remove menu with the site edit tool and from there I can access a setting page from where I can add / delete a Menu but can’t control which menu contains what pages/ links etc.

    Can any one look at this issue or bug!

    Hi there,

    Block themes handle menus a bit differently that what we’ve grown used to over the years :)

    On a block-theme, like Twenty Twenty-two that you’re using, the Customizer won’t include a menu tab, because that functionality is now controlled completely from within the site editor. To add/modify your site menu, you’ll use the Navigation block instead:

    Block themes also don’t have pre-assigned menu areas like classic themes used to have. Instead, you decide where on your site you want to have a menu, and add a navigation block accordingly. To display different menus containing different links, you’ll use multiple navigation blocks with different content.

    That’s excellent! First time I am trying the block theme and already falling in love with the site editor. Let’s see how much more I can do with this new WP super power :)

    Thank you for showing me the right guide. Previously, I completely missed the option to create an empty menu. That’s what I was looking for.
