menu editing
-
I want to delete a menu item but when I go in the dashboard to appearance/menus I do not get the display with the option to delete an item. I only see an option to add a new menu item. Do I need an update of WordPress?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you, but I have seen this page. It shows on the left, under Pages, a list of my menus with boxes enabling their selection, but no actions are available. There is only a (greyed-out) “add to menu” button.
The area on the right shows ONLY:
“Menu name”
“Give your menu a name, then click Create Menu.”
2 Create Menu buttons
I expect to see on the right a list of menu items which can be deleted, but they are not there. -

Hi there,
This is what I see on your menus page:

If you don’t see the info on the right, it’s a problem in your browser that is preventing it from loading. Can you try logging in in an incognito window in Chrome and see if it loads there?
If it works in incognito mode, it’s most likely a browser extension in Chrome that’s blocking some code on the page from loading. Try disabling any ad-blockers or security plugins you might have installed.
For good measure, also clear your browser cache and cookies:

Thanks, I eventually got the necessary page. It seems to have something to do with the less than intuitive navigation sequence. There are at least two different places to click on MENUS and when you at last reach the right page it is difficult to remember how you got there.

There is more than one Menu option now, yes. The WP-Admin link that @timethief gave you is the original version, and works very well. I prefer the one in the Customizer, as you can see a live preview of the menu while you work. To reach that one, click on My Sites, followed by the Customize button next to Themes.
I’d avoid the option at My Site ->Menus, though, as it has some known issues we haven’t been able to fix yet.
