Menu heading listed in Yahoo rather than blog name

I’m sure this is a simple mistake I’ve made but when I search in Yahoo I get Menu underlined and then the www. bit underneath followed by the first line of text. All other searches around me seem to have something much more relevant to their site in that heading line. Google isn’t picking up the site at all. I have just put in the page title and description – I had resisted because the theme I’d picked shows this above my header – but so far has not made a difference (24 hours). In every other respect I am loving my site! I can’t find anything relevant on line. Thank you.

    Hello!

From what I understand you are asking why your site is not showing up on Google Search?

If so, WordPress already makes its sites Google searchable by sending anything new to Google via updating XML sitemaps. Indeed, it may take a couple days for new content or changes to show-up on Google Searches. If you have a new site it can take anywhere between 4-6 weeks to add new sites.

WordPress also integrates well with Google Webmasters and it is suggested that you verify your site with them to make it easier for inclusion.

    Notes:
–If your site is private it can impact the ability for Google to find it.
–If you are searching for your site be sure to clear your cache as it will better enable you to see changes on your site.

Wow! Thank you – lots to read. I had no idea it could take so long – I will be much more patient as the site only went live 3 weeks ago :-)
