Menu headings not functioning properly

  I have 2 menus that have sub-headings or ‘child pages’. When I click on the primary menu heading or ‘parent’ heading in the edit view, it takes me to the correct page with a single click. However, when I’m testing the website outside of edit view (from the customer’s view), I’m required to single-click twice to get to the page. It doesn’t work with a double-click only 2 single clicks. How can I get it to function correctly the way it does when I’m editing the web page?
