menu in motif theme

  In the Motif theme example the menu is shown over the header image, but when I selected the theme, it displays below. How can I fix?

  In the Motif theme example the menu is shown above the header image, but when I selected the theme, it displays below.

  The theme actually isn’t using a header image; the image you’re seeing is the featured image on the front page template described here:

  https://wordpress.com/themes/motif/

  If you setup a front page following the steps listed above, you’ll find that the menu sits above the front page featured image, but below the header image. Here’s a screenshot breaking down the difference:
