Menu issues

Hi I tried editing my menus today, I made two menus one for logged in and one for logged out users, I added the code to functions.php and didn’t use a plugin at first, when I went to my site all it shows is

this logged out originally I set the logged in menu just to show logged out but even when I logged out it still showed the logged in menu and not the logged out menu, I removed the code from functions.php, removed the logged in menu and deleted it, but it still shows this logged out as the only menu item, I then installed user menus plugin and tried to use a menu through that but it still shows this logged out as the only menu items, the code has been removed from functions.php and there is a only one menu setup that shows 5 menu items I don’t have a menu stored that shows logged out anymore.

Any ideas why this happening? I’m using the twenty twenty three theme I can edit the menu with the theme but I can no longer change the menus by the menu editor under appearance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s the first time I have edited the menus it’s a fresh wordpress install, not sure if I need to change something in this theme so it uses the menu from the menu editor as I said I can use the theme editor and change the theme menu and get it working but it won’t show under the menu editor

Don’t worry seems it’s not me it’s this block editor causing the issues in the twenty twenty three theme, I won’t be using this theme on my site anyway so don’t worry about it.

Doing more research on this block editor it seems it causes a lot of problems for people also with plugins.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Looking at that site I can see it’s hosted on Dreamhost. It’s not using our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com.

For help, I would contact them first. Otherwise, there’s a volunteer network available for folks who run their own WordPress installations, which is how you’re set up. That is available at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

On WordPress.com our team offers a managed hosting environment. This means that we handle all the back end details of the site. Things like back ups, updates, security, spam, seo, ssl, mobile optimization, top notch hosting specs, and sorting out any errors or bugs that pop up along the way. When you run a stand alone WordPress installation, like what y’all have set up, then all of those details fall on to you – so instead of being able to focus on content you spend a ton of time and frustration fixing these sort of issues.

You’re able to move the site at any time as part of our personal plan. It’s only $4 month and would give you access to all of our tools, support, and top notch hosting.
