Menu issues and header question

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m having major issues and they’re driving me insane. I’ve created a menu ‘Where I’ve Been” with multiple sub menus under it. For some reason, whenever I click on Where I’ve Been or any of its sub menus, the page displays one of my recent blog posts and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. If I click onto any of the other top menu items, it takes me to its correct page, but when clicking back onto Where I’ve Been, I stay on the page. Please help…anyone! I’ve even tried deleting and recreating the Where I’ve Been menu from scratch and it keeps doing the same thing. Ugh!

Also, I would like to move my header title and tagline but can’t figure out how to do that either. It’s just stuck in the middle of the header and blocks part of the image. Removed the tagline because of that and left the title.

    Hi,

For some reason, whenever I click on Where I’ve Been or any of its sub menus, the page displays one of my recent blog posts and I can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

The top-level menu item, “Where I’ve Been” has a “#” URL extension, which results in it being an “un-clickable parent tab,” as described in the FAQs of the Custom Menus support page. I find that the sub-menu items are working properly, being linked to the corresponding pages (Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take ya, etc.).

but when clicking back onto Where I’ve Been, I stay on the page.

The link “Where I’ve Been+,” as I mentioned above, was evidently created as an unclickable menu item. It’s not supposed to link to anything. So if a visitor clicks on it, no matter where they (or you) are on the site when it is clicked on, then they will remain on the present page, post, etc., though a “#” symbol will be added to the URL.

Good morning. Thanks so much for responding. I was able to fix that issue late yesterday evening so what you’re seeing now is actually what i want it to do.
