menu item not linking to anything
-
I remember someone shared this solution earlier but I can’t seem to find it.
How do I set my menu to link to nothing, where people cannot click it to go anywhere, it is just a placeholder.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How about a Custom Menu with only one choice on it – the Page / Post that your blog opens with or the one a visitor is on – they go to where they already are –
Can a Custom Menu with nothing on it be used?

To make a custom menu with the top (parent) item linking to nothing, but with child pages is not difficult. Add a new menu, give it a name, create menu. Then fill in the menu with the links you want
For a tab which does not link to anything:
Make the parent page in the “Custom Links” module using any link (valid or not) to the “http” line. ( http://nothingmakesadifference ) Fill in the “Label” line with the title you want for your navigation bar.click “add to menu”
click “custom” drop down menu and delete the http://nothingmakesadifference url.
leave the label.
add the links to pages you want under that as child pages.Save menu, then select it for your primary navigation. save again.
