menu items appearing twice 'contact' 'about' etc….

  I only want these to appear once on my static homepage

  Hi There-

  You can remove duplicate Menu items from the theme’s customize options. To do this, on under Personalize on your WP Dashboard you will see Customize, click on that box. You will then the various options to change. Click on Menus, then click on the menu you want to change (usually it’s the primary one). Select the menu item and click on Remove from the drop down.

  Make sure after you’re done to click on Save & Publish.

  Hello honestground,

  In addition to @socalthrills info, please try going here:

  Customize -> Menus -> Menu Locations -> From here select your menu from the Primary Menu dropdown.

  I setup a quick test using your theme, snaps, and had some duplicate menu items as well. The path above seemed to fix it though.
