Menu items do not have down arrow?

  My menu items do not have down arrows. I tried to clear cache, but no change. I don’t know the wordpress version or how to find out. I just opened the wordpress.com site and started an account.

  There are no arrows and none are needed. One simply clicks the link to the exact sub-page they wish to view.
