menu link not working

  Adding a link to a custom menu isn’t working. I’ve cleared my cache, deleted the cookies, refreshed my browser (firefox 17) and still nothing changes. I added a link according to the instructions you provide on your Menu support page (http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/) and removed a menu item I no longer wanted. But the removed menu item still remains and the new menu link does not show up.
