Menu not showing categories

  My main menu only shows my pages. When I add anything else (specific posts, categories, tags etc) it doesn’t show up.
  I’ve tried everything I can think of, my pages are published and public, I’ve followed youtube tutorials as well as wordpress tutorials.
  Maybe it’s a bug in the theme I’m using or maybe my theme doesn’t support it.

  My guess is that in order to display something other than pages in a menu, you’ll need to replace the default pages menu with a custom menu. See the Custom Menus support page.

  If you’ve already created a custom menu, then in order to display it you might need to set it as your primary, or possibly “Top,” menu.
