Menu on Homepage turns into a small, unnoticable box. Bad.

  I read a lot of things and they didn’t help so please don’t send me a general link about customizing or changing menus. I would like to keep the headings at the top of the homepage to stay as they are (boxes lined up) regardless of the size of the readers’ browsers. When the browser is made smaller the menu turns into a small box in the top right corner that no one sees or knows to look at. On most websites if you decrease the browser size, the menu stays and you can just use the sliding bar at the bottom of the browser screen to move back and forth across that page. That’s what I’d like. Thanks.
