I have everything ready, but three pages didn’t appear in the menu – so I deleted it to start again. Now there are ‘no items’ in ‘pages’ to drag inot the menu. How do I get these displayed please?
thanks
VivThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Deletion is never a solution for any blog issue like this one.
If you deleted the Pages permanently then they cannot be displayed. if you did not permanently delete them you can restore them from Trash.
Can you locate them here? Dashboard > Pages > All Pages?
You can look in the last autosave for Pages » Page Revisions
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/#restoring-revisionsIf you don’t find the post or page then it could be in your trash.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ Provided you did not permanently delete it then restoration is possible. -
Custom Menu Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected. -
Thanks for the prompt response.
I’m ‘trying to create a wbs site. Only the menu was deleted – the pages are still there. BUT not showing in the Appearance-> Menu -> (left hand) page ‘box’ for me to drag and drop into the (right hand) Menu box.
I’m going round in circles (for a change) . All help appreciated
thanks

The Pages cannot appear in the Pages module in the custom menu if you deleted them.
If they are not here Dashboard > All Pages then they will not display in the custom menu pages module.
If they have not been permanently deleted from Trash you can restore them so they appear here again Dashboard > All Pages then they will display in the custom menu pages module.

Very many thanks it WAS the ‘private’ box that was ticked. However, I now also have three pages added to the menu and can’t seem to get rid of them in drag and drop or delete. I’ve moved them down to the bottom of the menu – delete please?
thanks again

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
Appearance > Menus
locate the page you do not want to display in the custom menu. Click to open, once opened click “remove”. When that box closes do the next page you don’t want to be displayed and repeat. When all are done click the big blue “save menu” button. -
Yes, I’m in Chrome, I’ve removed two items but the third is a category “uncategoriesed” How do I remove this please?
thanks

You cannot remove it from the blog as it is the default category.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
You can replace it with another default category.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/#setting-the-default-categoryYou do not need to display it in the custom menu.

many thanks again, that seems to have done the trick ;~)
Now please – how do I publish it publically on line?

The blog is already online and available to everyone on the internet.

@sahildua2305
Do not hijack other blogger’s threads by posting off topic into them. I already answered in the other thread:Only those with WordPress.org installs can use plugins
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no FTP access to our free hosted WorPress.com blogs and we bloggers can’t install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-can-i-install-some-plugins?replies=5#post-1134869
