Menu Problem

Hi,
The custom menu on the left hand side of the site has suddenly started displaying a “blank” link that links to our Facebook page, right above the “news” category. This only happens on the homepage thehsi.org . It reverts to normal on every other page of the blog e.g http://thehsi.org/native-reptiles-and-amphibians/.
Any idea what is causing this? I’ve checked the widgets within the primary sidebar for any issues and there aren’t any.

That’s a really strange issue! I looked around a little and noticed the Facebook link at the bottom right of the right sidebar (named the “Secondary Sidebar” in the Oxygen theme settings) is using that exact same link to Facebook for the blank menu item in the top left sidebar.
In the Secondary Sidebar in your Appearance > Widgets page, you have added this HTML into a text widget:
<!-- Facebook Badge START --><a href="https://www.facebook.com/hsi.fan" title="The Herpetological Society of Ireland" target="_TOP"><img class="img" src="https://badge.facebook.com/badge/143231935718251.2493.928485896.png" style="border:0;" alt="" /><!-- Facebook Badge END -->There is an HTML syntax mistake in that code because there is no closing tag for the link (or the “a” tag).
If you update the text widget to this instead, it should fix the problem:
