  Hello,
  WHERE DO i TIPE IN THE NAMES FOR MY MENU PAGES? THERE IS NO SPACE OPENING UP WHEN I AM IN APEARENCE ;
  AN OTHER QUESTION CAN I PUBLISH POSTS WITHOUT THEM BEING SEND TO MY FOLLOWERS? MEANING AS A WEBSITE THAT IS SIMPLY UPDATED?

  Hi there,

  You can change the names of menu items by logging in to your Dashboard and going to Appearance >> Menus. You can customize the look of your menu as much as you’d like, however before you can add pages you must first have published them.

  In regards to your second question, no you cannot publish posts without having them sent out to your subscribers. But with that said, your subscribers will not be notified of any new pages. Only posts. So if you are building a website they won’t be notified.

  You also could temporarily set your site to fully private and build your site that way. When you are done, you could set it back to public, at which point any followers will begin receiving notifications again: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
