  I have a menu on top, which consists of home, books, and about. Home is where all my blog posts go. I want to know how can I categorized so the blog posts involving books all go in books menu on top. On the sidebar I see the books as page, I can’t create a blog post through there. Any help?

  You can create a Books category and use it on all the posts you would like to show under your Books menu item.
