Menu – Redirect to other page
-
Two questions: –
1. When I make a menu custom menu, I don’t get the “HOME” button (the one that directs to the front page).
2. I know that when I make a menu I can add a button that directs people to a completely different site. But how can I do that with a drop down menu? For example If I make a menu page that says LINKS, how can I – if possible – have five drop downs which each takes them to differents links (i.e. twitter.com, facebook.com etc…)
Please help :-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1. You can create a static page and where the title <s/trong> would normally be you can enter the link below and that will result in a Home page link. Then you will have to include that static page in your custom menu.
(a) create a static page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
(b) enter a Home link into the Title field
<a href="http://bilil.wordpress.com/"> Home</a>
(c) include that Home page in your custom menu > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/2. Drop-downs are the result of creating hierarchical structure. They are either sub-pages (child pages of a parent page) or sub-categories. When you create a static page look in the Page attributes box in the far right hand column and there you will be able to assign hierarchical order. Create a static page for Social Networks (Parent page) and then create sub-pages (child pages for twitter.com, facebook.com etc.) assign them to the Parent page in the page attributes box. Use the same instructions above in a, b, c to create them and include them in your custom menu.

Thanks for the answers! I am very satisfyed with the answer on my firs question, and the second explained how to make drop down.
BUT
It didn’t say if it’s possible that the child pages are not a page at all but a link.
Example: I have HOME ABOUT BIO MUSIC LINKS, etc.
If I hold the mouse over LINKS the drop down (child pages) show. That’s fine.
But how do I make these child pages so that if i hold over LINKS and different names come up that when clicking on those names take them directly to another webpage?
I know you can do it by creating a menu, but those will not be drop down (child pages) but statics.

Re Q1,
Appearance > Menus > Pages module: Click View All, tick Home, click Add to Menu, click Save Menu.Re Q2,
Appearance > Menus > Custom Links module: Paste URL in URL field, type name in Label field, click Add to Menu; repeat for the rest of the links; drag them under the Links page you must have added, drag them to the right (see here), click Save Menu. -
And if you want the Links tab to be a non-linking one, just a heading for the dropdown links, see here:
