menu to display posts matching two categories

  Hello,

  I’m trying to add menu items to my blog menu that would list the posts matching two categories and not only one.
  I post photos one by one, then usually wrap them with more in a gallery. From the menu I would want to sort the posts by Country but only sort the posts that are of the Gallery type and the specific Country.

  Would that be possible? In the menu editor, if I select two categories and add, it’s not adding a menu item with the 2 categories but two menu items with each of the categories selected.

  Any idea?

  Hi David,

  To set this up, I’d recommend creating a parent category with the first category you want to use, and then subcategories with the second category. That way, you can identify posts by the subcategory they’re in and display the category pages for those subcategories.

  You can set up subcategories under Posts > Categories in your WP Admin dashboard. You can hover over each of the categories there and click the “Edit” link to edit them. On the “Edit Category” screen you can choose a parent category to be the top-level category.
