Menu won't update
-
Hello!
When I use customizer>menues, it shows the correct primary menu. However, when looking at my site, it only shows Home and Contact. Why won’t it update?
Thank you!

Hi,
That’s because the default pages menu is displaying instead of a custom menu. At Customize > Menus > Menu Locations > View All Locations > Header Menu, choose the menu that you’d like displayed as the header menu. The save the change by clicking the Publish button at the top.

Hello, @digbyareaspouses,
You need to add items to the custom menu list, you can follow the instructions here:

Thanks, but in the OP Lyssa indicates that she has created a custom menu with more than two menu items in it. Therefore, the wrong menu is displayed. The one displayed is probably the default pages menu, which on some themes (including the Apostrophe 2 theme applied in this case) displays when no custom menu has been set to display instead.

Did that (as I stated in my OP). And have done it twice more. It will not update on the live page, but shows as working in the customizer.

Lyssa,
I don’t know. Have you saved the change at the Customizer? The selected menu would display at the Customizer even if the change hasn’t been saved by clicking on the Publish button.
By the way the phrase “primary menu” is not used at all in the Customizer with Apostrophe 2 applied. I presume you’re referring to the header menu.
Here’s an alternative way to set the header menu to the one I gave above:
1. At Customize > Menus, click on the chosen menu. That will bring you to the “Menu Name” module.
2. At “Menu Locations” click the box labeled “Header Menu.”
3. Save the choice/change by clicking the Publish button. If that doesn’t work than there might be a browser issue. If that’s the case, then the Browser Issues support page might be helpful.
