Menus

Hi,
I would like to make a page that’s listed on my menu and then when you click on the menu item it takes you to a page that filters several categories or tags into it. I.e. Film, tv etc. Either that or to have a nested menu for film and tv and then be able to put various tags into those sub menu pages so they will come up there as well. I.e. If I post about a certain show, just the tag for that show. I cannot work out how to do this properly. :(The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
See the Category Pages support page. If you replace the word “category” with “tag” in the instructions there, you’ll have the instructions for setting up a tag archives page.
Either that or to have a nested menu for film and tv…
A custom menu is necessary for both including category pages or tag archives pages in a menu, and for creating the type of nested menus that you refer to. See the Organize Your Menu and the Changing the Order & Creating Sub-Menus sections of the Custom Menus support page.

Hi,
See the reason I’m posting here is I did read that but the tags explanation only referred to if you wanted one tag or category to be streamed to that page, and I wanted multiple. That’s why I wasn’t having difficulty.

@erisundichigo to clarify, do you want multiple tags and categories to stream into a single page that is not the main page of the site?
If you want to show posts about films when you click on Films, or posts about TV when you click on TV, you can do that by publishing some posts in those categories and adding those categories to the menu.
Or if you want posts (from film or TV) about a certain performer if you click on their name, that’s completely possible with tags and categories, too. You’d just publish the posts with the tags or categories you’d like (personally I’d tag the performer and use the category for the medium), then add them to the menu as well.
If you need help, the documents @musicdoc1 included can walk you through.
