Menus
-
I wrote asking a question on menus and all I get back is a comment to look at the Custom Menus help area. I have done all that and I can’t get it to work…that’s the original issue that I needed help on.. I can set up Menu names (Create Menu) but they don’t show up on the blog. I have one called Boaters Info. It says it’s a menu but it doesn’t show on the blog. It’s really getting frustrating. I have the Twelve Elven Theme. I can see that other bloggers have menus. I don’t understand why mine doesn’t work. Can someone answer this question for me instead of sending me to the “how to” section that I have read numerous times and tried everything I can think BEFORE I contacted support. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Cathie – I see the confusion. Where you’ve entered “boat buds” is merely the name for the entire menu – the whole set of tabs. That name doesn’t appear anywhere, it’s just for your reference. What you want to do is add pages to the menu space below that name. I’ve created and activated a menu matching the one you have so you can see what this looks like:
https://dunntravels.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.phpWhen you add additional pages, they’ll show up in that “pages” box to the left there where currently you see your About page. Then, you can select them there, add them to your menu below the Home and About bars that are there now, and then click “Save Menu.”
If you’d like to add a tab for Boat Buds, first publish a page titled Boat Buds, and then add it to your menu in that way.
If you still have trouble, let me know! I’m happy to help you out.
