Menus
-
I want a separate drop down menu for my regular posts.
My ABOUT me page I only want to have my post about me and not any other posts. How do I keep my about page a static page? And my menus categorized where my posts go? -
Hi, to set up your menu to link to categories, you might try category pages.
Here’s how to go about it:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-menusOr, you can use a Posts Block to just show certain posts from a category wherever you’d like, on any page:

Thanks for this info. It did help a little. Am I not creating a post or page under the correct item?
I just want to add quite a few posts at the beginning and get them underneath the correct drop down menu I created.
I want all my posts about food to go under one drop down menu.
All my travel posts to go under another drop down.
Thats what I am having difficulty with.
Does that make sense?
Sorry HUGE newbie here. -
Pages are a form of content, like posts, so there’s a but of extra work to get them to list posts, as described above.
Alternatively, you can utilize your categories, and add those categories to your menu as described above.
Both will do exactly what you’re looking for, they’re just two different approaches with a few different advantages.
I recommend trying one of those two out, then let us know if you have any more questions. :)
