  Hi there,

  I wanted to show the links to my pages as a menu, which I have on the right handside of my site, but one of them is a parent page and I wondered if there was a way of showing the pages without showing the subordinate pages as links? So not to show anything under the ‘Art’ page on the menu on the main page? Also, if I can take the name ‘Links’ off my menu on the main page. Hope that makes sense

  Hi Lucy – Sure, you can do this by setting up a Custom Menu and using a Menu widget instead of the Pages widget. I went ahead and created a menu for you that matches what you have. I called it ‘Links’ and you can select it from the dropdown menu at the top here:

  Then, just delete the subpages from the menu if you like, and Save Menu.

  Then, go to Appearance->Widget, find the custom menu widget, drag it into your sidebar, title it whatever you like, and choose ‘Links’ from the dropdown.
