Menus and Post Formats

    I want to add post formats to my menu. Everything seems to be working okay until I check the link for standard formats (the default format for posts on my blog). That menu item comes up with no matches and the following message:

    Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria.

    Since “Standard” is the default format for my blog entries, there should be quite a few results for it. I have even tried changing the format of a past post and changing it back to see if that makes a difference and it did not. It is as if the “Standard” format in the menu options is not linking itself to the actual “Standard” format.

    Is there a way of fixing this issue, or should I just forget about including format types as part of my menu?

    There is nothing to “fix” because nothing is broken. You can add Posts but entering their URLs http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-tag-pages-and-posts-to-your-menu

    You cannot add Posts by formats unless you chose to create Categories for all posts formats and assign them to posts.
