Menus not appearing for screen readers

Hello, we’re working with a company to help make our website, specifically the homepage more accessible. However, before we can even get started they told us our menus were not showing up for them on any type of screen reader. We’ve tried multiple things like setting the menus to a different template (ours are custom made) but that didn’t solve anything. We’re at a halt on this project until we can find a solution for this. Please let me know if there’s anything we should try or other resources that may help. Thank you!
