Hi there!
You can learn about the features of the Button2 theme here:
https://wordpress.com/theme/button-2You can add a sidebar, again the theme page can help you.

Button has a sidebar widget area where you can add a category widget, tag cloud, and recent posts widget.
You can add widgets by going into your Customizer‘s Widgets panel.
Just let me know if you need further help.

thecomplacentoptimist – I see widgets in your sidebar here: thecomplacentoptimist.wordpress.com – is that the right site?

No, my site is upb4dawn. I don’t know why I’m commenting as the complacent optimist. That is my old site!

OK, thanks for confirming which site. In what browser are you having trouble seeing the Sidebar widget area? There have been reports of some issues in IE11 — is that what you’re using?
The workarounds are:
– Use a different browser, like Chrome or Firefox
– Use the WP Admin widgets dashboard here: https://upb4dawn.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
Let me know how it goes.

Glad you got it working in Chrome, and sorry for the inconvenience! Our developers are working on the IE11 issue.

The issue with seeing certain widget areas in the Customizer in IE11 should now be fixed. If you’re still having any problems, please try clearing your browser’s cache. Let me know if you continue to have any issues.
