Merge accounts

  I own two blogs:
  analogueadventures@analogueadventures

  and

  brasslenses@brasslenses

  They have different web addresses and primary emails. I would like to merge them into one account, please, as I am experiencing issues with the site being confused as to my identity and asking me to log in when I already am (as the other account). Can anyone assist?

  Hi there,

  analogueadventures@analogueadventures and brasslenses@brasslenses are neither URLs nor email addresses. Can you please provide the actual URLs of the sites that appear in the address bar of your browser when you’re viewing the site so I can know which sites you’re referring to?

  I see only one site in the account you’re using to post here: https://swr123.wordpress.com/

  Note that if you move both sites under the same account the same username and public display name will appear as author on comments and posts for both sites. If you want different usernames to show as author you’ll need to keep these separate. In that case I’d suggest you use two different browsers so you can be logged into one account in Firefox, and the other account in Chrome, for example.

  If you’re sure you want them under the same account, log into the account you no longer want to use. Go to the site’s WP-Admin dashboard. So, http://brasslenses.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ or http://.swr123.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  In that dashboard click on My Blogs. If you hover your mouse over the site title in that screen you’ll see a Transfer Blog option. Click that and follow the prompts.

  This will also remove the old username from the blog you’re moving, so it won’t have any access to the site any more.

  It worked!

  Thank you for your assistance.

  I wasn’t worried about the content of the bloggs so much, there was very little in them and I didn’t need two identities. I was getting in a mess by having two accounts so merging the bloggs into one account should make life easier,
