Merge accounts?

I would like to merge my wordpress.com account into my wordpress.org self hosted account…I thought I was using the same email address, but did not. And I just keep getting knocked back and forth and having to sign in repeatedly. Advice? thank you!

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
To connect a WordPress.org site with your WordPress.com account, you’ll need to use the Jetpack plugin on your WordPress.org site: https://jetpack.com/

I have a self hosted website through bluehost, wordpress plan.
I’m struggling with fully connecting those accounts/sites. I have two user names and would like to transfer to the wordpress.com account to the self hosted site.
Can you assist?
The wordpress.com site is messybunandgettingdone.home.blog
The self hosted site is themessybunmafia.com
The instructions listed on the wordpress help forums do match the options I have, and leave me going in circles. -

Both sites are under the same account (@iheartlillarose). If you log in to that account you’ll be able to manage them.

Done, and it won’t let me remove the other user. Error message under wordpress admin: Remove Users from Site

That person is currently the owner of the site, you’d have to have ownership transferred to you too: https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
