merge accounts into one with current email address
-
I have two accounts and I just accidently put my new wordpress site into an account with an out-of-date email address. How can I move it over to the right email address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
If both the sites are on WordPress.COM, then there is a detailed guide to help you transfer your blog/site to another account, here it is: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/Your site http://www.studentsuccessclub.com is not on WordPress.COM, it is hosted on your hosting provider’s server using WordPress.ORG software.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are different from each other, to understand the differnce, do read: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/To get help for WordPress.ORG sites, go to forums at: wordpress.org/support/
– All the best.

Thanks very much. My issue has to do with Jetpack and Askimet. I think I just need one of each of these for both sites don’t I?

Hi @jolibby,
Yes, you are right, just one WordPress.com account for Jetpack on both sites is enough.
You can go to the Jetpack section of the site’s Dashboard (one with out-of-date email id), hover over the “Connected to WordPress.com” button which will then change to a “Disconnect” button, hit that. That will disconnect Jetpack from your WordPress.com account that you don’t want.
You can then connect the Jetpack to the WordPress.com account you want (one with right email address) by hitting the “Connect to WordPress.com” button.
– best,
