Merge blogs?

Hello! I changed my username to chaibudesh and thought that I was changing my blog url to chaibudesh.wordpress.com. I didn’t realize that doing this created a separate blog. Is there anything y’all can do on your end to switch my peppermintpencil blog to the chaibudesh url? I like having a blog that’s several years old, and I might have some people subscribed to it by email. It’d be nice not to lose these things in order to switch my blog url.
If I delete the chaibudesh.wordpress.com blog altogether, will I be able to change the peppermintpencil blog url to that? Or will it say that ‘chaibudesh’ is already taken? I’d hate to delete the site AND then not be able to get that domain back. It’s a handle I’ve been using across big social media accounts so I have to work with it :)

Blogs cannot be changed to existing or deleted blogs, but you can export https://wordpress.com/support/export/ and import the content across the sites: https://wordpress.com/support/import/#import-content-from-another-word-press-site

Thanks! What about my idea of deleting the new blog I made with the domain I want (chaibudesh.wordpress.com), and then trying to switch the domain of my current blog (peppermintpencil.wordpress.com) over to the one I want? Is that possible?
