Merge paragraphs in one block
-
Hi!
I’m a new WordPress user looking for help.
I have opened a blog to post chapters of a book I write and book reviews.
So my posts contain a lot of text.
I have a problem with editing my posts.
Every time I hit the ‘enter’ button while writing paragraphs, WordPress starts a new block with a huge amount of space between blocks. Like this:– Hey, how you doin?
– I’m doing good, baby, how you doin?
And then they went to get coffee
And here is how I want it to look like:
– Hey, how you doin?
– I’m doing good, baby, how you doin?
And then they went to get coffeeI would like it to be all one block, block style ‘paragraph’
When I inserted the first chapter, that I wrote earlier and saved on my computer, by just hitting Ctrl+C Ctrl+V, it worked out like I wanted to: all one block, block style ‘paragraph’. But when I tried to do it with the next chapter, it didn’t worked out. Please help
thank you in advance -
Hi there,
You can start a new line with single spacing, instead of double spacing or a new Paragraph block, by pressing Shift + Return/Enter on your keyboard.
