Merge two blogs into 1

    I have 2 separate blogs secondlastsupper.wordpress.com & planetprobing.wordpress.com .. I wish to make them 1 as in when anyone puts any of those addresses he gets redirected to one blog thats an amalgamation of both.

    Is this possible?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    You can import a blog to your site with the effect of merge posts. That includes posts, pages, comments… even tags.

    First thing you need is to export your first blog to a file (Tools>Export menu) and store this file on your computer. This file will be used in the importation process to the definitive blog. You can find Export process procedure and details here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    Then, you can Import to your definitive blog this file containing your first blog posts, pages… This can be done from Tools>Import menu. You will need to choose WordPress option (as you can import from some other Blog engines). There are detailed instructions to do that in Support pages (https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/).

    Hi
    This sounds like id have to abandon my other blog address which i dont want.

    I want both the address should automatically redirect to this one shop.

    Possible?

    Hi there.

    With the export-import process I explained, you won’t need to abandon the other blog. This operations would clone all the content you currently have in the first blog to the second one (Clone the content will not clone the aspect or layout indeed). What would happen if you add a post in Blog#1 after that? It would be in Blog#1, but not in Blog#2 unless you export-import again. So, this is important to understand: this is a punctual merge, and will not merge future content. Both blogs could evolve independently.

    If I understand you, you would need to show the second blog to each Blog#1 visitor, something equivalent to keep your Blog#1 name/address just to redirect people to the second one. If so, you could purchase ‘Site Redirect’ upgrade [More info here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/%5D.

    No my friend, importing the stuff is ok with me

    but my idea is to merge them real time, i just wish to run 1 blog now but the traffic on other blog should automatically come to this blog also

    eg
    if i use address 1 i go to blog 1
    if i use address 2 i still go to blog 1

    the point is i have 2 blogs one for food and one for travel i want to bring it under one hood without loosing on traffic on both, can i do this??
