Merging accounts

  Hi there,

  I have two wordpress accounts each linked to a different email address and would like to merge them so that they are both attached to the same email address. Is it possible to merge them? I’ve tried to change the email address of one but it just says ‘this email address is already in use’ (because it’s my other email address!). Thanks

  Howdy dumplingandsausage!
  Firstly you can decide which blog you would like to move to which one, you can then use this support document to Transfer Site to Another user
  One’s you have it transferred to the correct account, you can then use this guide Deleting Account
  As WordPress doest not support deleting account, you can just clean up everything and change the username and leave the account. The support document will help you with the options and details.
  This will enable you to manage everything from a Single account thereafter.

  Hi pavanraheja!

  Thanks so much for the help and information! After looking through the support document and instructions that you suggest, I have now realised that I have three blogs! Two are attached to one email address and I own those (because I am able to transfer both of them). However, the other one (which is the one that I wanted to change the email address of) is actually owned by my friend (and there is no option to transfer it).

  Therefore, does that mean that I won’t be able to change my email address on the one that my friend owns?

  Hi again..!
  As your friend is the owner of the site, which you want to your control, you can ask her to transfer it to your Username, your friend can log into the WordPress account and follow the instructions of the Guide I provided in my last reply ie Transfer Site to Another User
  And it can be successfully transferred to your Username, and you will have control of all your accounts. And should serve your purpose.
  Or the other option would be, if you just want to change the email address only, then if your friend will have to do it, as only the Owners can do that.
