Merging/linking/syncing(?) my account and my website from a 3rd party

We hired a 3rd party marketing company to create our website through WordPress. We have full rights and I’m an admin but I can’t seem to connect it with my account. The only way I can get to editing my site is by copying the link that they sent to me (https://www.notarealwebsite.net/wp-admin/users.php). When I log into my account, it says I have zero sites. Both have the same email. Any suggestions insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

What’s the site URL? By the sounds of it, your developers created the site on a third-party host, rather than WordPress.com.
If that’s the case, and you’d like to use your WordPress.com account to manage the site, you’ll need to install and connect the free Jetpack plugin first: https://jetpack.com/
