Merging of WP Accounts

    I have two separate accounts, one on WordPress.com and the other on WordPress.org.

    Can I use both accounts with the same Username and Password?

    They’re accounts on totally separate websites, like an account on Facebook and another on Instagram, so there’s no way to merge them. You might be able to claim the same username on both sites (mine happens to be), depending on availability, but one login does not work for both. I suggest not using the same password on multiple sites for security reasons.

    Note also that a WordPress.org login does not login to your site that uses that software. That has a third, separate database of users.

    If you have a self hosted site and connect the Jetpack plugin, you can enable logging in to your site with your WordPress.com account, which is the closest you can get to merging accounts.
