Merging tags

  Hi.
  I would like to know if it is possible to merge some tags.
  I guess that a while ago I didn’t tag some names properly or something and now I have tags with only last names or so…I also have other tags with the full name of the character in question. That’s why I would like to be able to better organize my tags. Would you help me with that?

  Hi. It seems it might be helpful but I don’t understand the installation process.
  Am I supposed to have a: “/wp-content/plugins/” folder? and where?

  Hi,

  Here’s how to bulk edit your posts. In your Dashboard, go to Posts > All Posts, then you can edit the tags here using Quick Edit,
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#quick-edit

  or you can edit multiple posts at once using
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit

  There are no additional plugins available for sites hosted at WordPress.com so there is no “/wp-content/plugins/” folder. These are the only plugins available and they are already built-in and you can’t add your own.

  Yes, I thought so. The first suggestion was for wordpress.org only…I assume.

  I ended up using the quick edit but sadly it doesn’t let me change a tag to another that already exists, so I had to erase the one I didn’t want and then write the other I had. It would have been so much easier to just let me rewrite – for example: I had “Salvador” as tag when I referred to “El Salvador” and I had to delete the first one and then write the second.

  You can try editing multiple posts at once instead:

  Or if you are just renaming tags, you can also use this:

  Organize Posts with Tags
