Merging two accounts

Hi – I was hoping to find out how I can merge my two accounts. Forgot that I had made another account and now can’t change my username because that one exists already. Is there a way to contact support?

Hi julcy,
If you have sites under two different accounts, you can transfer the sites from the account that you don’t want to use to the account that you do want to use to manage all of your sites.

Hi Jamie – it’s more my account login than sites. My other account has no sites on it currently, but I would rather use that username. Do I have to transfer everything over an re-follow everything?

Got it. It is not possible to reassign a username that already exists. This thread has a staff reply to a similar question: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/change-username-67?replies=3
Since usernames that have been discarded or that already exist can not be reused, even by the original owner, you would need to transfer your sites to the account with the username you want to use.
Another option you might consider is just changing your display name, which is what shows up on posts and comments: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
