Merging two blogs

    Dear WordPress Support,

    I want to know if my original posts will remain, if I try to import other posts from another blog platform. I want to merge a typepad blog with this original art blog of mine. I did try to move the typepad blog to another wordpress blog I have (othershore.wordpress.com) but none of the posts got imported. I was using this other blog to make sure that the original posts on the first wordpress blog would not be replaced by the typepad posts.

    I will manually add my typepad posts if I have to, but this will be very time consuming. I need to merge these blogs soon. I want to simplify my blogging presence online, and I have chosen wordpress to be the platform.

    When you create an XML export file of blog content you are creating a copy. If you have trouble with the import then Staff will assist you with it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
