How do I merge two blogs in one URL?

I currently am writing a blog under the above URL and am looking to begin writing a different blog. I would like to continue writing for both under the same URL above and was wondering if it were possible to shift the layout so when people visit the URL they get a home page and have the option to go to either blog. When they click one option they are taken to a blog with posts, separated from the other blog.

    is this possible?

  • Well, concerning your subject line, you can merge two blogs by exporting and importing via the Tools section of the Dashboard.

As for your question, try creating a static front page following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Hey thanks for the reply Macmanx. I now know how to make my front page a static one, however I would like it so that the posts I have currently are on one page and future posts go on a separate page. The problem with this I think is because the pages are static themselves…is it possible to create more than one non static page, and select which posts you want to put on which page?

  • Yes, pages are a form of content, like posts, so they can’t actually contain posts.

In your case, I’d consider having two blogs.

One blog for the static front page and one part of the posts, and the second blog for the other part of the posts, and of course have the static front page link to both.
