Merging two existing blogs into one larger blog with separate pages/sections
-
I have two blogs currently and would like to merge them under one family blog and keep the blogs as pages on the new blog. Is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot post to a page so your two blogs won’t actually have separate pages, but you can make it look as if they are separate.
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/You can export one blog and then import it into the other blog.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogsBefore you export and import though assign a category to all posts on the blog to be exported (blog A, for example); and assign a category to all posts on the blog you want to add to (blog B, for example).
1. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/#adding-categories-via-the-dashboard
2. Go to all posts and click “title” to select all posts on that list. You can go to “screen options” (upper right corner) to show more than the default 20 posts.
3. Then use “bulk actions” to edit—>apply all the posts on that page.
4. That will bring up a screen which will allow you to add your new category to all the posts.Once the import is completed you can use a custom menu to add navigation tabs for “blog A” and “blog B.”

Additional info about custom menus:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/All the posts of both blogs will be visible on your front / home / blogging page. If you don’t want that, then make a static front page and don’t designate a blogging page. Readers will be able to find your posts via the category links for “blog A” and “blog B.”
