merging wordpress.com address to .com domain that i already bought

Hi. I recently bought (through wordpress) the domain name exerciseaddictionhelp.com. Then I created a wordpress site called exerciseaddictionhelp.wordpress.com, thinking I could merge the two. Not sure how I can do this. Can you tell me what to do? Should I cancel the first one, then re-register the second but as “.com” only?? So confused. THank you
