Message board on a site

  Hello!

  While I don’t see a widget for adding a message board to a site, is it within the WP policy to add a link to an external message board on my site without breaking any rules?

  Edit: (adding a note here) I’m teaching my grand-daughter how to blog, and the importance of following rules and learning where and how to get help/her questions answered.

  Hey simsdailyjournal,

  You can accomplish this by using a simple Text widget. Just go to Customize>>Widgets and you will see the widgets your theme supports.

  Click on the one where you want to showcase your message. Then click on “Add a Widget”.

  You will see many boxes. Scroll down and select the “Text” widget. Add your message and if you want, you can link to any external source just like you do in a blog post.
