  Instead of sending the whole post to the followers I’d like to send a notification that a new post has been published with link to the same

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy!

  There are two ways to adjust this.

  First, you can change the “For each article in a feed, show” setting here:

  https://vinoysequedo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  “Summary” means only a portion of your post will go out to readers with a link back to the full post.

  Alternatively, you can use the “Read More” tag mentioned here to achieve the same thing:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

  The main difference would be in the latter (More tag), you can pick where you want the content to “break”.

  Thanks for your prompt answer.

  Checking your explanations it looks like a general adjustment, I mean, or you change it and a summary or part of the article goes out by email but it also affects the visibility of the post itself. (showing summary or till the break)

  I thought there was an option to limit the email feed only.

  Hi!

  There isn’t a way to limit subscription emails only. Changing that setting will affect your subscription emails and your RSS feed for readers that subscribe through RSS. However, it will not affect your front page with your latest posts.
