Message from WordPress Insecure Browser
-
Today I went to my site and the notification icon was missing. I went to dashboard and msg from WP that I was using an insecure browser IE and to go to update to latest version. When I went to do so, it said I was using the latest version. To see if I the icon would work on another browser, I checked Firefox and it worked. Why am I getting that message when I use IE when I have the latest version installed? I took a screenshot if you want to see. My website is http://hometogo232.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Thank you timethief, it seems to have solved the problem. When I went to check microsoft.com is turned on compatibility … I know this doesn’t relate to WP but do you think they should be on? Anyway thanks very much… Diane

I’m glad that solved your issue. I don’t use compatibility mode at all. In fact I rarely use my IE11 browser at all. I’m a Firefox fan and my second choice is Chrome.

It’s weird …I was using Firefox and it is my alternate… but recently it was so slow, I switched back to IE…. I also put Google Chrome on but took it off again because it was too confusing … and I kept getting pop ups and the ‘smart screen’ or something and I just wasn’t comfortable.. Probably if I understood it, it might be okay… but that’s why I went back to IE.. Thanks again… Diane
