Message: "Please set your primary site to valid site"

Also can you all let me know what browsers you are using, and please also double check any extensions you have enabled?
-
I have tried in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. I’ve tried clearing cache, all history, and relaunching Safari and the issue persisted. I have no extensions enabled for these browsers. I’ll see if I can get a screenshot and screen recording uploaded.

Thanks, @gbsouthaustin — yours was the first I was able to confirm this one.
You only have a Jetpack site, I noticed; is it active?
-
Yes, it is. You’ll have to forgive me, I’m just now taking over maintaining the site for my organization, so I’m not sure what the ramifications of it being a Jetpack site are.
-
The message stopped showing up but in the past couple of days it has started up again. Something about Jetpack.
But I’m just ignoring it because the website is working o.k. -
Hello, I have exactly the same problem as stated above
johnkilbey.com. Have tried everything I can think of, please help! -
I think I answered my own question while looking into this more, so we can drop me from reports of this issue.
-
@gbsouthaustin can you send details? I’m still trying to suss out what’s happening here. If you want me to email privately I can do that too.
-
-
@holatorontocanada I can’t seem to see this on your account either… if you’re still having trouble can you send more details?
-
In our case it’s because we’re not using WordPress.com as out host. Instead, we’re running WordPress 4.8.2 on a different host. Since I was just taking over the site (and there was no information provided to me about the infrastructure), I was flying blind and trying to work out of WordPress.com.
-
@gbsouthaustin got it; you could actually use WordPress.com to manage the site. Plenty of folks do. But you would need to have that option enabled in Jetpack.
-
Hi, there I have the same problem. I do use Jetpack and it is activated so I don’t think there is a problem with that. My website is malenovska.com
-
@klaudiamalenovska I can’t duplicate this on your account. Are you still getting this error?

@zauditu14 can you get a screenshot of what you see? And are you still having trouble? I can’t duplicate this on your account.
